Chicken Noodle Soup

Well I've finally caught a bit of a cold. I hope it stays as mild as it is currently, but with me who knows! I am making my own chicken noodle soup, drinking lots of tea, and eating my favorite blood oranges.
I went shopping today and I feel like I bought SOOO much food! I spend a lot of money on good ingredients like fish and meat, only because I know how much better products are when you buy them fresh and local. I also went "back to school" shopping for myself at J.Crew and found amazing deals. I got a pair of shoes that were once 170.00 for 39.00! and nice work shirts for 19.99 marked down from 100.00. I was really excited.
I also bought Joseph some fun things like OXO cheese slicer, cork screw, oven thermometer, and chips and salsa for the football weekend ahead. They don't sound like exciting things, but Joseph is a low-key kind of guy and he loves this stuff.
This is my last weekend of "freedom" before schools starts again. I really have a lot of work still to figure out for the next lesson! Yikes!
If you notice I don't write too many posts on Verruckten Huhner it is due to my H&S blog. It's hard to keep up with both, and sometimes I find myself just cutting and pasting onto VH. I'll try my hardest to keep up with my blog, however I ALWAYS read my friends' postings here at Xanga. It is my link to my dear Cincy friends (Sycamore HS) and I would never miss a chance to read what's going on in their lives. :)

White Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Joseph, the rabbits, and I are enjoying a lovely white Christmas morning (it is like a real-life snowglobe outside!), eating Panettone french toast, coffee with cream, and watching the Yule log fireplace on channel 2. The rabbits enjoyed munching on their Christmas gift, a fresh organic carrot, then falling asleep on the floor. We got up early to go skiing, but as the weather goes here, we are currenly snowed in. :( Perhaps a ski trip is in order for tomorrow.
We hope you are having a fun Christmas morning!
Happy Holidays!

blogs out my ears

I have so many blogs that I can't keep up with them. I have my H&S, Crazy Chicken (VH), Myspace, and now I have blogs for my art classes and school! What is a girl to do?

The good news is that I'm getting more tech savvy, the bad news is that I've become a slave to the internet.

Soooooooo new things going on in life:
I started my job at school, but the students aren't in session yet. I've been getting to know my fellow teachers, making curriculums and cleaning _serious cleaning_ the art room.  Joseph, my helpful husband, spent long hours throwing away dusty useless things in the art room - filling a total of 7 HUGE trash bags.  My room is now organized, but I still need to get art up on the walls. That means I have to get my order together!

As part of our team building at the school, the teachers and staff are going on a three-day mountain retreat in Rocky Mountain.  I'm really looking forward to it! We are basically putting together an adult summer camp. I've heard there are pranks... it's like junior high school!

I'm still Irish Dancing on top of my work schedule (and working at Starbucks) three nights a week.  Sure, sometimes I miss a class here and there, but some nights I'm too exhausted.  I'll be competing again, which I'm a little nervous about.  It is fun, but to think about being in front of judges again is crazy!  All I need is a dress.  Our dance school does shows around the area and we are always working towards the next big thing. I'm happy to be with a school again, while I'll never forget McGing, I'm glad to be dancing with a new group of step dancers.
